Ahmad Hanayish

Ahmad Hanayish is an Afghan poet, writer, and journalist with more than two decades of experience in media, journalism, and cultural work. He is widely recognized for his professional contributions to national and international media platforms.

He has founded three radio stations and one media and civil society organization in Afghanistan, playing a key role in developing independent media and supporting civic engagement. Throughout his career, he has contributed significantly to capacity building in modern journalism, mentoring and training many young journalists in professional media practices.

Mr. Hanayish has worked as a senior reporter and has held leadership responsibilities in multiple media institutions. He currently oversees three radio stations as well as a media and civil society organization.

In addition to his journalism career, he is actively engaged in cultural and literary work. He is a published author of three books and continues to contribute to Afghanistan’s literary and cultural landscape through poetry and writing.
